Through the support and generosity of the Aetna Foundation, the recently held 4th Annual Gynecologic Oncology Conference was a huge success. Those in attendance heard Mary Jo Pilat, Ph.D., PA-C, speak on clinical trials, and Christine Bledy, a late stage and recurrent ovarian cancer survivor, speak as she shared her six year journey with cancer. Bledy authored, “Beating Ovarian Cancer – How to Overcome the Odds and Reclaim Your Life.” Everyone left a bit wiser having listened to Pilat and Bledy. Thank you to both our guest speakers for sharing their wisdom and experiences with us. A special thank you goes to the Aetna Foundation for its continued support of the education and awareness for gynecologic cancers.
