Defeating Cancer With Early Detection

September 26th, 2008 by allsoch

breast-cancer-blog.comAn international panel of medical professionals, industry specialists and scientists along with universities such as “La Sapienza,” Rome, Italy and University of Ontario, Institute of Technology, Toronto, Canada will conduct a public scientific review of Dario Crosetto’s 3D-CBS (Three Dimensional Complete Body Screening) innovative technology June 23, 2008 broadcast live via web. This breakthrough in medical imaging technology whose validity has been recognized for years by science and technology and recently confirmed by others (including Siemens, who said in 2002 that Crosetto’s claims were impossible) will permit the use of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) technology safe enough for routine examination of apparently healthy people for early detection of cancer.

PET molecular imaging is much more sensitive than mammogram, which claims to save lives. Crosetto’s technology claims to increase efficiency of current PET over 400 times and allow complete body screening with low radiation equivalent to mammogram. 3D-CBS technology allows exposure to approximately 4% of the radiation of current PET examinations that are slow and cost prohibitive.

A conservative estimate of lives that could be saved annually: U.S. 100,000; Europe 150,000. Efficiency improvements are made possible because of novel electronics and detector assembly of the 3D-CBS machine, integrated with a CT scan.

The 3D-CBS inventor explains, “My mission is to make available to everyone, a life-saving technology with the potential to defeat cancer by detection at an early enough stage when it is curable.” He has committed to donate 80% of the patent licensing income to this mission.

3D-CBS higher sensitivity will more effectively show abnormal biological processes at the molecular level, before the cancer exhibits symptoms and anatomical changes. It is commonly known that earlier detection dramatically improves survival rates.

The task of reviewers will be to validate, or refute Crosetto’s claims and make sure that all his innovations will be implemented as soon as possible to bring benefits to the bed of the patient and obtain maximum reduction of premature cancer death at a lower cost.
